in the echo of the silence

In the Echo of the Silence lyrics and artwork

The song story

Most of my life I have been in a hurry to move onto the next thing, to partake of the next experience. Too often I would hastily finish what I was doing and move on.

That meant that I didn't have a rich history in the fruit of the Spirit called Patience. Yet it is one of the attributes of God for which I am most grateful.

God, in His loving way, has often set up circumstances to help me wait on Him, to consider Him, and to reach out to Him in a more profound way.

I am grateful to Hannah Easton, who one Sunday night at Stairway Church, led us into an extended time of silence.

It was during this time that the words of this song dropped into my mind, "In the echo of the silence you are...". When we take the time to stop, listen and consider who He is for us, our hearts can more fully comprehend and declare His majesty.
